I got back from Olympia convention around 4:30 Monday afternoon. It’s now around 1am Tuesday morning and I am taking a break from repacking my freshly unpacked bag for Milltown convention starting Wednesday. Not entirely crazy except for the fact that the two conventions are rather close together, two states away. Yes, I flew back to Santa Barbara only to inconvenience myself into flying back up to Washington.
In my defense, the idea of going to Milltown came to me Sunday afternoon. Adjusting the return date of the original flight cost too much money, so we sought alternate solutions. Ideas flying right and left, options slowly dissolved as both time progressed forward and we progressed toward Santa Barbara. It came to the point where the cheapest and most reasonable idea was to hop on another plane and fly right back.
Of course, the most logical idea—simply staying home as originally planned—didn’t even cross my mind. That would be giving up. Never give up.
I apologize if this post seems unfocused or unfunny. I’m running on lack of sleep with no intentions on getting a whole lot more.
